Bible goes high tech

The recently released print version of The Almighty Bible – Genesis (first book in the graphic novel series) has been welcomed with a positive reception from teens, tweens, parents and grandparents in both Christian and secular communities. Now the team behind this project has announced the release of an app for the iPad and iPhone.

“It is our goal to create a tool that young people will be eager to revisit outside of Sunday school, youth group and Bible study sessions,” says Kevin O’Donnell co-producer of the project and creator of the award winning “Liberty’s Kids” from PBS.

BatchOutput Server update improves long queue handling

Zevrix Solutions has updated BatchOutput Server (http://zevrix.com/BatchOutputServer.php), an output workflow automation solution for Adobe InDesign, to version 4.5.6. The new version improves long queues handling and addresses several other issues.

Under BatchOutput Server workflow, production artists and prepress operators simply submit files to hotfolders that reside on the network. BatchOutput Server automatically outputs the files from its dedicated station using hotfolder settings, and will auto-activate document fonts as well.
