Zevrix Solutions (http://www.zevrix.com) has released BatchOutput 3.9.6, an update to its professional solution to automate printing and exporting from Adobe InDesign. It’s a maintenance upgrade that introduces support for Deliver, a new solution for file delivery to remote and local destinations.

BatchOutput is designed to automate and simplify InDesign production workflows of service providers, printers, ad agencies and publishers. With BatchOutput, users only need to select the files to output and adjust the settings, and the rest will be done automatically.

iPhone/iPod/iPad apps for Nov. 3

Here are the latest iPhone/iPod touch/iPod/iPad apps announced. You can find ’em at the Apple App Store (http://www.itunes.com/appstore/).

FileMaker has delivered FileMaker Go 1.1 for iPhone and FileMaker Go 1.1 for iPad apps in five new languages in addition to English — French, Italian, German, Spanish, and Japanese. With FileMaker Go, users can view, edit and search FileMaker Pro records on an iPhone and iPad. Databases can be accessed directly from files hosted on FileMaker Pro or FileMaker Server, or database files can be copied locally onto FileMaker Go via File Sharing in iTunes.

Apple acknowledges iOS 4.1/daylight savings time glitch

Apple has acknowledged an iOS 4.1 bug involving daylight savings time in some countries. In an online note (http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3542), Apple had this to say:

“In some regions, shortly before or after the daylight saving time (DST) change, repeating alarms created in the Clock app may work incorrectly.

“Products affected: iPod touch (4th generation), iPod touch (3rd generation), iPhone 3G, iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPod touch (2nd generation)
