FileMaker has delivered FileMaker Go 1.1 for iPhone and FileMaker Go 1.1 for iPad apps in five new languages in addition to English — French, Italian, German, Spanish, and Japanese. With FileMaker Go, users can view, edit and search FileMaker Pro records on an iPhone and iPad. Databases can be accessed directly from files hosted on FileMaker Pro or FileMaker Server, or database files can be copied locally onto FileMaker Go via File Sharing in iTunes.

The new update is available free to existing FileMaker Go users. FileMaker Go for iPhone and iPod touch (running iOS 4) is US$19.99 and FileMaker Go for iPad (running iOS 3.2) is $39.99. 

Aspyr Media and test prep leader Kaplan Test Prep have teamed up for futureU, one of the industry’s first SAT test prep games for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. futureU, originally developed in 2008 with version for Nintendo DS, PC and Mac, is based on proven Kaplan Test Prep content and methodologies. The game is designed to provide a fun, interactive and engaging supplemental test prep resource for students preparing for the SAT. FutureU for iOS devices is free to download at the Apple App Store with up to four extended levels available for $1.99 each. futureU is also available for the Nintendo DS, Mac and PC.

Apperian has announced the Enterprise App Service Environment (EASE), a platform that enables enterprise developers to build, secure, and manage applications for the iPhone, iPad and other mobile devices. Available immediately for Apple iOS, developers can sign up and use EASE at no cost at http://www.apperian.com/ease .

Graphiclife has released MouseIt! 1.0, a $0.99 iPhone and iPod touch app that plays the songs in your music library in a higher pitch making them sound as if sung by a mouse. Users can browse their entire music library and choose a song for the mouse to sing. It also sports regular music Player controls such as play, pause and seek.

F1 News 2010 is a free iOS app that offers the “best in motor racing from Formula One news, driver and constructor championship standings, to weather and more.” No need to scan dozens of newspapers, driver’s Twitter feeds, team web sites and fan sites, as it’s all here brought together in one app. You can read the views of Jenson Button, Lewis Hamilton, Fernando Alonso and Michael Schumacher as well as all the happenings at Ferrari, McLaren Mercedes, Renault, Williams, Red Bull and every other F1 GP team.

PointRelease Software has freed iSpyBirds 1.0, a $0.99 bird reference guide for iPhone and iPod touch users. It brings the resources of Wikipedia and Flickr to your iOS device by providing a local copy of select bird information and photos. With iOS 4 multi-tasking support and optimized for the retina display, iSpyBirds features over 50 Eurasian bird types, with detailed information and photos.

Design label iconsBerlin firm extends its icon collection for the tab bar in iPhone apps. The new retina displays with 960×640 pixels, so tab bar icons appear in the resolution of 60×60 pixels for the best possible quality. The app icons in this collection are organized in 28 different categories and are based on the themes of the Apple App Store. All icons correspond to the Apple HIG guidelines, with free updates of every collection extension for a period of one year after purchase.

Very Alien Productions has introduced Algebraics 1.0, a $0.99 algebra education and productivity app for the iPhone and iPod touch. Designed to leverage the iPhone interface, Algebraics is a tool to solve and explore quadratic and cubic functions, as well as perform prime factorization and determine greatest common divisors and least common multiples. Algebraics can determine real and imaginary roots of quadratic or cubic functions.

120 BPM lets you create original tracks and show off your musical skills to the world via the game’s global interface and Facebook connection. It’s available for the iPhone and iPod touch for $0.99 with versions in English, French, German, Italian and Spanish.

Ab2labs says its update of the photography app, Effects, is now available exclusively for iPhone and iPod touch. In the app — free in the US — the user can manipulate pictures in multiple ways.

Second Gear has announced Elements 1.5, the latest version of their $4.99 text editor for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. It allows you to view, edit and share plain text documents on your iOS device. Version 1.5 adds support for organizing your files in sub-folders.  Create folders to store all your school assignments, recipes and more.

Infinity Softworks has released powerOne 2.0 for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch devices. The $9.99 combines an algebraic and RPN calculator with customizable, spreadsheet-like templates, giving you hundreds to choose from. You can create your own, keep a history and share with others. Version 2.0 includes an online library of hundreds of add-on templates in a broad range of categories, the ability to label and save computations to a history file, and more.

iHomeEducator has introduced iLiveGrammar Botany 4.0 ($4.99) for iOS devices. Developed specifically for 1st-4th grade, early readers are introduced to botany concepts as well as learn basic grammar such as nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, prepositions, and conjunctions. Related science and grammar videos are linked in as an incentive for the students. The sentence and answers are tracked for record keeping and can be emailed and blogged, and more.

Paynet Systems has launched Credit Card Machine 1.3, an update to their free credit card processing solution for iOS devices. It enables the acceptance of all major credit cards on a mobile device. The app supports AVS and CVV2 security and fraud detection features. There are encrypted and secure SSL connections as well, assuring data security.
