Eye-Fi announces 8GB Eye-Fi Pro X2

Eye-Fi Inc. (http://www.eye.fi) has developed what it says is the
next generation Eye-Fi experience, which includes an entirely new
platform and more flexible sharing options. The 8GB Eye-Fi Pro X2 is
powered by Eye-Fi’s proprietary X2 engine.

Photo enthusiasts will benefit from increased storage capacity, Class
6 performance for faster read/write speeds, faster-than-ever wireless
photo and video uploads and increased Wi-Fi range, according to Jef
Holove, CEO of Eye-Fi.

Western Digital announces USB 3.0 drives

Western Digital has introduced its fastest My Book external hard
drive ever. The new My Book 3.0 desktop external drives are among the
first devices certified with the SuperSpeed USB 3.0 interface.

With an interface that’s up to 10 times faster than the
previous-generation USB 2.0 interface, the high-performance My Book
3.0 drive significantly reduces the time it takes to open and save
large files, according to Dale Pistilli, vice president of marketing
for WD’s branded products group.

Macally announces new Mac, iPhone, iPod accessories

Macally (http://www.macally.com) has announced new accessories for
the Mac, iPhone and iPod. Pricing hasn’t been announced on most of
the products, which are coming soon.

The TunePalPro is a set of stereo earbuds with a remote control on
the cord. The Macally Minibud is a min-earbud with retractable cord.
The 1-port Micro CLA is a cigarette lighter charger for the iPhone
and iPod. The 2-port USB Travel Charger will let you charge your
iPhone or iPod anywhere there’s an available USB port.

The ReSyncCable lets you sync and charge your Apple device.
