Universal Audio (http://www.uaduio.com), a manufacturer of audio
hardware and UAD-2 powered plug-ins for Mac and PC, has announced
several partnerships.

Universal Audio has announced a licensing agreement with the Harman
Pro Group. Under the terms of this agreement, Universal Audio will
develop, market and sell plug-in emulations of select Lexicon,
Studer, dbx, and AKG equipment for the UAD-2 powered plug-in platform.

Universal Audio has also announced a partnership with Ampex Corp.,
which makes magnetic tape and tape recorder technology.

Intego (http://www.intego.com), the Macintosh security specialist,
has released release of VirusBarrier X6, the latest version of its
antivirus and anti- malware software for Mac OS X.

VirusBarrier X6 provides protection from both malware and network
threats. It includes full antivirus and anti-malware protection
together with a two-way firewall, network protection, anti-phishing,
anti-spyware features and more.

Versatile Delivery Systems has released Frameline 47
(http://www.frameline.tv), an update of the video asset management
software for Mac OS X. It offers video file management, video editing
with scene detection, MPEG-7 video notation, Final Cut Pro XML and
Avid ALE Export and more.

Frameline 47 is especially designed to work with video. It scans
drives for video files, extracts their metadata and builds an SQL
Database. It features file management, editing and annotation tools
as well as a Capture interface.

MetaCommunications has announced the immediate release and
availability of Workgroups 2010 Package 162.3 upgrade, featuring
built-in support for AutoCAD products. The new release continues to
extend the capability of Workgroups 2010 within technical design
groups.

The built in integration with AutoCAD provides designers with a
built-in interface for interacting with their Workgroups 2010 project
workflow, management and collaboration systems.

Digital Anarchy has released ToonIt! Photo 2.5
(http://www.digitalanarchy.com/toonPS/main.html) for Photoshop. It’s
an update of the software for creating cartoon-like images from
photographs. The filters use algorithms from Toonamation to create
cartoon shading and outlines in Adobe Photoshop and Photoshop
Elements.

The 2.5 update expands ToonIt!’s cartoon outline effect with three
new styles: Woodcut Outlines, Conte Outlines and Scratchboard
Outlines. A new option called Supersmart Blur has been added for more
stylization of the cartoon color fields.
