Apple has released MacBook SMC Firmware Update 1.4. This firmware update addresses an issue with certain MacBook and MacBook Pro models from 2007-2008 that prevents them from charging with new power adapters.
You can obtain the MacBook SMC Firmware Update 1.4 via the Software Update component of Mac OS X’s Systems Preferences app.
