PocketLabworks has announced PocketSing, PocketRap and PocketAmp for the iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad. PocketSing and PocketRap provide amplification and vocal effects when singing along with your iTunes music. Both apps are priced at US$0.99. PocketAmp turns your iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad into a practice guitar amplifier and effects processor. It’s on sale for $2.99 for a limited time.

Oofsource has scared up Scare Factor 1.0 for iOS. It’s an $1.99 entertainment app designed to scare unwary friends, capture their reaction, and post it on Twitter or Facebook. On the pretext of playing an enjoyable game of finding the small differences between two nearly identical photos, a friend holds the device and stares intently at the screen. Soothing music plays as the game gives them time to think when, suddenly, they are subjected to a “bone-chilling close-up of a screaming zombie.”

Kevin Kalle and Bohemian Coding have introduced Review 1.0 for iPhone and iPod touch devices. It’s a $2.99 tool for iOS interface designers to judge their mockups on an actual device. Review is fully aware of the Retina display on iPhone 4 and will scale mockups accordingly. It also renders an icon-sized image exactly as it would appear on the home screen, with rounded corners and optionally the typical glow.

Bellasoft has unveiled TurboType for iOS devices. By incorporating learning as a game, the $0.99 app is designed to help iPhone and iPad users become better typists, offering both an entertaining racing experience and the tools to use their devices more productively.

1776 Productions has published the Livermore Valley App for iPhone. The free app is a guide to the more than 50 wineries in the valley. It combines a local business directory with Google maps, directions, and location-based social media. Each user can sign into their Facebook and Twitter accounts to interact with local businesses and their friends, and control their privacy settings through the app.

iHome, a supplier and pioneer of innovative iPhone/iPod speaker solutions, says iHome+Radio is now available for download on the Apple App Store for $1.99.  It’s an Internet radio music app that uses RadioTime’s program guide to deliver tens of thousands of local and international internet and broadcast radio stations to your iPhone and iPod.  The app also provides added functionality to iHome’s app-enhanced line of speaker systems.

“MD Magazine,” one of the first all-digital publications designed exclusively for the iPad is now available for download. It’s being offered free for a limited time.

App Apps has integrated Dropbox support in their latest release of Audiotorium Notes for iPad. Designed for the business professional or student, the $7.99 app offers a way to record, organize, review and share your audio and text notes from your meetings, classes, and conferences.

CounterPath Corp., a provider of desktop and mobile VoIP software solutions, has announced Bria iPhone Edition 1.1 for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. Compatible with Apple’s new iOS 4 operating system, the $7.99 app is a standards-based VoIP softphone that works over both 3G and Wi-Fi networks.

Building on the success of the Realtor.com premier Real Estate Search iPhone application, Move, which specializes in online real estate, has rolled out a new Area Highlighter feature enabling users to search a specified location by free-style drawing on a map with the touch of a finger. 

Barnes & Noble has announced updates versions of its Nook ebook reading software for the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. The upgrade adds adds customer-requested, in-app content rating and more.

dBelement, has released HiFutureMe 1.1, an update of their free app for the iPhone and iPod touch. It allows you to send messages to your “future self.” Write your message, select a time and hit “Send”.
