GEAR4 (http://www.GEAR4.com), an UK iPod and iPhone audio brand, has expanded its presence in the U.S. market with the introduction of new portable audio solutions for the iPhone and iPod touch. They’ll be available for purchase in the U.S. by Oct. 1.
The US$149 Explorer SP is a lightweight iPod/iPhone speaker that comes with a carrying case and a remote. It has a lithium-ion battery with a fast-charge feature, purportedly giving it 10 hours of continuous play after only two hours of charge.
The StreetParty Size 0 is a slim and slender dock. Then there’s teh StreetParty 4, a device dock that actually folds completely flat for storage. Both are powered with AA batteries, and manufacturer’s suggested retail price is $99 and $69, respectively.
Rounding out GEAR4’s portable solutions, the StreetParty Compact is an option with a MSRP of $49. It’s smaller in height than the other portable speakers.
