USAePay has launched the PaySaber (http://www.paysaber.com), a lightweight, portable credit card machine that connects with the iPhone or iPod touch, allowing businesses to process financial transactions on the go. Individuals and businesses, from small business entrepreneurs to corporations of any size, can use PaySaber.

The unit connects with the iPhone/iPod touch to accept mobile payments anywhere, anytime. Its built-in encrypted card swiper purportedly ensures all transactions are safe and secure. The device works with the USAePay PCI certified payment gateway, which stores all of the data securely.

Users can keep retail rates by swiping customer’s cards with PaySaber’s built-in encrypted swiper. Swiping a card insures better transaction fees and chargeback protection. The swiper reads level one and level two card data, which is then encrypted at the time of swipe and sent over to the payment gateway for processing.

PaySaber is a complete point-of-sale system for retail environments, allowing orders to be created by scanning product barcodes. USAePay’s custom PaySaber software provides the ability to control a complete inventory of products, including unique barcodes and SKUs. Businesses can scan their products at the time of purchase and PaySaber will calculate the total, taxes, and discounts with a simple swipe.

PaySaber can either email receipts to customers after capturing an image of their signature and/or print a receipt on-site for the customer through its integrated, thermal printer. Shoppers still prefer to get a physical receipt at time of purchase and with the PaySaber businesses can print one out. All receipts also have a unique barcode printed on them for the quick-scan return feature built into the PaySaber software.
