ATR1205 microphone (US$24.95) for consumers. It comes with four
microphone wraps that let users customize the look of their mic.
Named “Tribal,” “Boom,” “Jackson” and “Cutie,” each of the new wraps
fit around the microphone to transform the mic’s look.
O’Reilly Media has released “QuickBooks 2010: The
Missing Manual”

Excel Software (http://www.excelsoftware.com) has released
QuickLicense Server 1.0 for Mac and Windows. The QuickLicense Server
allows a software vendor to generate a vendor-branded, floating
license system for their products.
A floating license system consists of a License Server, License
Monitor and Protected Applications. The License Monitor is used to
securely configure the Server IP address and Port, change the number
of purchased licenses or monitor server operation.
Matterform Media (http://www.matterform.com) has updated Time Tagger,
a time-tracking program for the Mac that introduces a new tag-based
interface, to version 1.3. The upgrade lets users add descriptive
notes to any time slice, making it easier to include more details in
time reports.
Rather than setting up projects and clients and timers, users simply
click tags on and off in the Time Tagger window to track their time.
The main window features a large field of text snippets, or tags,
which users can click on and off to describe the work they are doing
at any moment.
eMedia Music Corp. (http://www.emediamusic.com), through its
distribution agreement with iZotope, has announced iZotope Music &
Speech Cleaner, a toolkit for improving audio files and home video
soundtracks. The US$39.95 software, due next month, is compatible
with Mac OS X 10.4 and higher.
