to offer a high-performance, completely redundant video production
solution designed to enhance workflow and increase productivity, the
company says.

The ATTO Celerity Fibre Channel host adapter multipathing solution
developed for Max OS X environments provides load balancing and path
failover for uninterrupted access to storage media delivering a
solution to meet both high-availability and high-performance
requirements.

At the 2009 BETT conference, AssistiveWare
(http://www.assistiveware.com) will preview Proloquo2Go, which uses
Acapela Group’s forthcoming iPhone text-to-speech to provide a
full-fledged communication solution on the iPhone and iPod touch for
people who can’t speak.

Also previewed at BETT will be the upcoming version of Infovox iVox,
which introduces new British, Italian, Greek, Norwegian and Russian
voices for the Mac. BETT, the world’s largest educational technology
event, runs from Jan.

Synectics Business Solutions, developer of the BackJack Online Backup
Service, has announced a new version of their software to complement
their service. BackJack’s new Business version (5.1) follows their
Enterprise version (5.0) which has been in use since 2007.

The Business version (http://www.backjack.com) was built from the
Enterprise version so that small to mid-sized businesses and
educational institutions can benefit from more cost-effective
pricing, simplified backups, more efficient uploads and enhanced
security, says Synectics President Chris Brown.

GiantCrayon Games has released ShiveringKittens
(http://www.shiveringkittens.com), a new iPhone game in which players
rescue kittens from the ice blocks that formed around them in a tough
Minnesota winter. It’s available at the Apple App Store for US$2.99.

Players free the kittens by arranging falling blocks in the right
order. The more ice blocks players connect, the more kittens they
rescue and the more points they earn.
