has released Houdini 10 for Mac OS X 10.5 (“Leopard”). Its an update
of the software used by film, broadcast and game development
facilities to create visual effects, digital characters, fully CG
feature films and more.

With the release of Houdini 10, the Mac version of the software —
built for 64-bit OS X — performs as well or better than Houdini on
other platforms, according to Kim Davidson, president, Side Effects
Software.

PremiumSoft (http://www.navicat.com) has released Navicat 8 for
Oracle and PostgreSQL, a major release of its database administrative
tool. Navicat version 8 includes such new features h as exporting
from Oracle/ PostgreSQL to Excel file, supporting of ODBC
Import and Code Completion in all SQL Editor.

Designed for database administrator and developer, the software is
used to simplify database management by letting users create,
organize, access and share information.

Winsted’s (http://www.winsted.com) new ergonomically designed
Sit/Stand Desk offers three programmable height settings. The
redesigneddesks include electric leg lifts, which enable operators
toadjust the work surface height from 29 to 44 inches with the push
of a button.

Two, three and four leg systems are available with load capacities of
300, 450 and 600 pounds, respectively. Both inline and corner
configurations are available.
All Sit/Stand desks feature Winsted’s Versa-Trak monitor array
mounting system.

iPresentee (http://www.ipresentee.com, a developer of add-ons for
Apple’s iWork and iLife applications, has releases new iWeb themes to
be used with iWeb, Apple’s web site building component of the iLife
suite.

iWeb Themes 4.0 includes five new themes: Blossoms, Couple, Eyes
Fire, Garden and Theatre. Each iWeb theme has 10 templates instead of
ordinary eight. iWeb Themes 4.0 includes the following templates:
Welcome, About Me, Photos, My Albums, Movie, Blog, Podcast, Blank, My
Hobbies and News.

FrogDogMedia has introduced iStoryTime
(http://www.istorytimeapp.com), a series of
illustrated and narrated children’s book
applications. The first three stories are now
available for download on the Apple App Store at
US$1.99 each.

Parents with an iPhone 3G, iPhone or iPod touch
can now turn their favorite portable device into
educational entertainment for the kids (ages 2-7)
when they’re on the go. iStoryTime books are
available globally (English only) on the Apple
App Store in 80 countries.
