Boris FX releases Boris Continuum Complete 6 AVX

Boris FX, the leading developer of integrated effects technology for
video and film, announced that Boris Continuum Complete 6 AVX (BCC 6
AVX) for Avid editing and finishing systems is now available. BCC 6
AVX is based on Avid’s AVX 2 plug-in architecture with support for
Avid Media Composer, Avid NewsCutter and Avid Symphony. A special AVX
1 version of BCC 6 AVX for Avid DS will be released in the near
future.

BCC 6 AVX adds nearly 200 plug-in filters to Avid editing and
finishing systems.

QNAP Systems (http://www.qnap.com) had introduced the SS-839 Pro
Turbo NAS, which it says is the world’s smallest eight-bay, Intel
Atom network attached storage solution supporting eight 2.5-inch hard
drives or solid state disks (SSD).

Targeted at business users who require a storage solution of high
performance, stability, scalability, low noise and low power
consumption, the SS-839 Pro adopts low power Intel Atom N270 1.6GHz
CPU, disk on module (DOM) architecture, and 2GB DDRII memory,
according to Celia Lee, product manager at QNAP.

ip.access to demo iPhone Virtual Fridge Notes app at Femtocell

ip.access (http://www.ipaccess.com), developer of picocell and
femtocell solutions, has announced that it will demonstrate its new
Virtual Fridge Notes application for the iPhone at tomorrow’s
Femtocells World Summit. ip.access will first showcase the
application during the Femtocell Applications Live session at the
event.

The new application makes use of a femtocell’s ability to detect home
presence, sending someone a reminder message as soon as he or she
arrives home.
