Ross Video introduces an openGear audio multiplexer, demultiplexer

Ross Video (http://www.rossvideo.com) is introducing an openGear 3
Gb/second, capable HD/SD 16 channel audio multiplexer/demultiplexer
at IBC 2009. The new MUX/DMX compliments Ross’ existing distribution
and conversion line.

The new series of audio multiplexer’s and demultiplexer’s have eight
AES/EBU input/output (16 channels) capability, offering an audio proc
to allow control over the insertion and extraction of audio.

of the software that converts photos to pencil and watercolor
drawings. The new version has a new improved algorithm for

Small Tree provides driver support for Intel’s latest 10 Gigabit

Small Tree (http://www.small-tree.com), maker of Mac-based networking
and shared storage products, has finished developing its network
driver software for the next generation of Intel’s Ethernet 10
Gigabit PCI Express Adapter, based on the Intel 82599 10 Gigabit
Ethernet Controller. Small Tree’s OS X software driver, designed for
Intel’s adapters, offers a “significant performance improvement in 10
Gigabit connections at an affordable price for the Apple
marketplace,” says Corky Seeber, president of Small Tree.

Default Folder X adds support for Snow Leopard

St. Clair Software has updated Default Folder
(http://www.stclairsoft.com/DefaultFolderX/index.html), its utility
for enhancing Open and Save dialogs in Mac OS X, to version 4.3. This
release delivers support for Apple’s new Mac OS 10.6 “Snow Leopard,”
as well as continued compatibility with Mac OS 10.4 and 10.5. It also
provides improvements in Default Folder X’s feature set and
reliability.

Default Folder X 4.3 is a free update for existing users who
purchased a license or upgrade on or after June 1, 2007.

TwistAWord game released for Mac OS X, Windows

Economy-x Talk has released a new game, TwistAWord
(http://www.twistaword.net), for Mac OS X (10:3 and higher) and
Windows systems. In the game you choose one out of eight languages
and try to create a phrase from the words given to you.

Here’s how the game is described: “TwistAWord contains hundreds of
phrases in 8 languages, including Latin. It selects a phrase
randomly, jumbles it and displays it. You can now use the mouse or
pen device to drag the words into the correct order. If you make a
mistake, the game gives you a hint and lets you try again.
