MacSpeech Dictate fixes glitch with quad-core iMacs

MacSpeech (http://www.macspeech.com) has released MacSpeech Dictate
1.5.8, an upgrade to the speech recognition solution for the Mac. It
addresses an issue with audio input that only impacts the new iMacs
with Core i5 and i7 quad-core processors.

MacSpeech Dictate requires Intel-based Macintosh hardware and Mac OS
X 10.5.6 or higher. New MacSpeech Dictate solutions, with a choice of

Native Instruments, Abbey Road announce partnership

Native Instruments (http://www.native-instruments.com) has announced
a partnership with Abbey Road, the iconic British recording studio.
The two companies will create advanced software instruments, with the
first product scheduled for release in early 2010.

FileMaker has released an update (3.0.2) for its personal database
application, Bento
(http://www.filemaker.com/products/bento/overview.html). The update
resolves an issue related to importing a template with a sorted
related records list. It also resolves an issue related to checkboxes
and smart collections and fixes other user-reported issues.

FileMaker Inc. announces new dates, venue for developer conference

FileMaker Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Apple, has announced new
dates and a new headquarters hotel with a lower room rate for its
2010 Developer Conference.

The 15th annual FileMaker Developer Conference will be Aug. 15-18,
2010, at the Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina, San Diego, which
offers a limited number of rooms for DevCon attendees at US$149 per
night. DevCon attendees are strongly urged to make reservations at
