Quirky releases Scratch-n-Scroll mousepad with writing surface

Quirky (http://quirky.com/products) has released Scratch-n-Scroll, an
US$9.49 mousepad with an added writing surface. This mousepad is for
all those times you are working at your desk and can’t find a pen to
jot down that phone number or list item you know you will forget
later on.

You can write notes to yourself on your mouse pad using just the
pressure from your finger or the built in plastic stylus as a “pen.”
And you can erase the notes at any time simply by flipping up the
semi-transparent top sheet.

note organizer for Mac OS X 10.5 (“Leopard”), to version 1.4.1. The
upgrade

TopXNotes (pronounced “Top Ten Notes”) allows people to create,
collect, store, and retrieve bits and pieces of information. Its
interface allows notes to be both categorized and grouped, and allows
the user complete control over the appearance of a note’s content.

Notes can also be synchronized with Classic iPods for handy retrieval
while away from the computer.

QuickerTek releases 1 Watt USB Transceiver

QuickerTek has updated its USB Transceiver
(http://www.quickertek.com/products/1watt_usb_transceiver.php), an
USB device that plugs into the USB port of any Mac desktop or laptop
and delivers 10 times the signal range of the internal AirPort card.
QuickerTek and its dealers are now offering the 1 Watt USB
Transceiver for $299.95.

Regardless of the setting, the 1 Watt Transceiver reaches out to
distant Base Stations or other wireless access points, according to
the folks at QuickerTek. The antenna is a 5dBi dipole model that’s
external to the computer case.
