Norbert M. Doerner has updated CDFinder (http://www.cdfinder.de),
software for organizing your disk and data archive and keeping track
of digital media assets, to version 5.6.1. The upgrade adds
cataloging support for Elgato EyeTV recordings, and a street-level
map for the GeoFinder GPS photo search engine.

Since CDFinder now supports Elgato EyeTV recordings (.eyetv), it will
show the thumbnail for the recording, and also extensive metadata as
well, such as the EPG description, director, actors, and much more.
All that is cataloged, displayed, and can be searched as well.

The GeoFinder inside CDFinder now uses the street-level OpenStreetMap
for the GPS search (this requires Mac OS X 10.5 or higher). That’s
much nicer than the built-in map, but since it requires Internet
access, the old map is still available, says Doerner.

CDFinder requires Mac OS X 10.4 and higher. As a Universal Binary, it
runs natively on both PowerPC and Intel-Macs. A single user license
is US$30, though version 5.6.1 is a free update for registered users
of version 5.x.
