IPEVO, a designer and manufacturer of Internet-based devices, has
announced the availability of its S0-10W Skype Desktop Phone, which
is designed for placing Internet phone calls from anywhere in the
home or office, without being tied to an Ethernet connection.

The S0-10W offers the normal feel of a desktop phone in usability and
appearance, but features a built-in CPU for computer-free Internet
communication, says Royce Hong, CEO of IPEVO. Additionally, the
included Wi-Fi Network Adapter can be used to establish a high-speed
wireless connection from anywhere within range of the network access
point.

Similar to landline-based desktop phones, the S0-10W features three
user-defined speed dial keys, as well as an LED light indicating
incoming and missed calls, as well as new voicemails. However,
because the device is fully Skype certified, users can experience the
added benefit of affordable IP calling with the comfort of the
S0-10W’s familiar interface, Hong says.

Adding to the overall ease-of-use, the adjustable 2.4-inch color LCD
includes a hands-free speakerphone button with echo cancellation.
Additionally, the S0-10W offers low power consumption. The IPEVO
S0-10W Skype Desktop Phone is now available at the manufacturer’s
suggested retail price of US$169.99, exclusively at
