Extensis today announced that it is now shipping Portfolio 7, the latest version of its digital asset management (DAM) solution for organizing digital photos, illustrations, page layouts and presentations. Portfolio 7 includes several new features, including NetPublish — an add-on module that automates the process of turning Portfolio catalogs into full-featured Web sites — with no knowledge of HTML or JavaScript required. Other enhancements include built-in CD/DVD archiving, batch image conversion, and the ability to embed IPTC metadata. Portfolio 7 is priced at US$199.95 with a NetPublish license that allows sites to be shared with a single connected computer. Additional NetPublish licenses can be purchased for an estimated street price of US$199.95 (five concurrent Web connections) or $999.95 (unlimited Web connections).
