OpenEdit has updated its open source digital
asset management solution, OpenEdit DAM, to
version 5.2014. OpenEdit DAM can be downloaded at

Version 5.2014 offers improvements and new
features to the already fully functioning
OpenEdit Digital Asset Management. Also, the
Product Details page has been completely upgraded
since the last release and now includes:
° Related Products — Metadata associated with an
original asset is now attached to the related
version. When editing the original asset, you now
have the option of updating all of the related
assets as well. All related products can now be
viewed from the product details page.
° Product versioning — when uploading an updated
asset OpenEdit will track all previous versions
of the image.
° Improved media previews — OpenEdit has updated
the video and audio embedded previews to better
support more browsers and file types.
° Improved security — the update closes a
vulnerability that allowed for cross-site
scripting attacks.
