LightWork Design has announced the winner of the latest LightWorks
Image Competition.

The winning entry came from Kheang Chrun. He lives in New Zealand,
where he does freelance illustration work, mainly of cars. He uses
trueSpace software with its integrated LightWorks rendering engine.

“One major feature of trueSpace which sets it apart from other mid
range 3D graphic authoring tools is the fully integrated LightWorks
rendering engine,” he says.

equinux (http://www.equinux.com) has released CoverScout 3, an update
of the software for completing album covers in iTunes. It has a
revamped interface and more.

The interface of CoverScout 3 is based upon the principles of Cover
Flow. Its intuitive and familiar interface make it easy for anyone to
flip through their music library and find all their missing cover
art, says equinux CEO Till Schadde. CoverScout scans your music
library as soon as the application is launched showing all covered
and uncovered tracks.

Adobe has released updates to Photoshop Lightroom and the Photoshop
Camera Raw plug-in, both available immediately as free upgrades for
Lightroom 2 and Photoshop CS4 users.

The releases provide added raw file support for 15 digital cameras
including the Nikon D90, Nikon D700, Canon EOS 50D and Canon EOS
1000D. The Lightroom 2.1 update also includes improvements to
Photoshop integration, performance with 64-bit Mac OS X 10.5
(“Leopard”) computers, and Keyword migration from Lightroom.

In addition, Adobe has released a new set of camera profiles
available on Adobe Labs.

TuneWear is shipping the PRIE Ambassador SideHook for the iPod touch
2G, a new line of leather cases for iPod touch 2G. The cases are
available in the TuneWear online shop (http://store.tunewear.com/) at
a suggested retail price of US$49.95.

The PRIE Ambassador SideHook for iPod touch 2G has a hook to the side
so that it can also be used as a stand for watching video. The hook
can be used to attach the iPod touch 2G to a belt loop or bag, or can
be removed entirely.
