Nova media today announced a new USB modem for Macs that allows fast upload of mobile data while on the road. The GlobeSurfer ICON HSUPA is capable of sending data with up to 1.4 Mbit/s, which is about 4 times as fast as before. HSUPA is currently deployed by cell providers throughout the world. Besides high upload speeds, GlobeSurfer ICON HSUPA supports fast download speeds with HSPDA and 3G UMTS as well as standard EDGE and GPRS connections worldwide. GlobeSurfer ICON HSUPA requires Mac OS X 10.4.3 or later, priced at €299.
