InfoLogic releases MathMagic 6.0 for Mac OS X in Universal Binary

InfoLogic has announced MathMagic 6.0 (http://www.mathmagic.com) in
Universal Binary format. The update of the equation editor for
mathematical equations and symbols now runs natively on both PowerPC
and Intel Macs running Mac OS X 10.4 or higher.

MathMagic’s equation quality is designed to meet stringent high-end

The 2008 Best App Ever Awards nominees have now been announced and
the voting is open at http://bestappever.com. Sponsored by 148Apps,
the inaugural competition is the first iPhone OS Application
achievement awards to recognize the best iPhone apps and games
released in the in Apple App Store in 2008. The goal is to help
publicize the very best apps available, not just the best-selling
apps.

The nomination process lasted a little over two weeks and saw 17,758
nominations for 1,259 different apps submitted to the site.

Smule releases Zephy for the iPhone

Smule has released Zephyr, a tool for “unlimited self-expression” for
the iPhone. It’s available at the Apple App Store for US$0.99.

With this app, users can express thoughts by writing or drawing on a
snow covered screen. Zephyr senses every touch and tilt to
supplement each message with a wind sound. Gently composed writing
might be accompanied by the sound of a lightly blowing
breeze. Quickly drawn designs might generate the sound of blustery
winds.

If a recipient likes a particular message, he or she can express
“love” by tapping on a heart icon.
