Jonathan Nathan has released Jon’s Phone Tool 3.7, the latest version of his versatile phone dialer that can dial a Bluetooth mobile phone or a regular land line through your Mac’s modem or speakers. It can also make calls via Vonage, CallVantage, Skype, Ovolab Phlink, Parliant’s PhoneValet, an Asterisk PBX server, IP Phones from Cisco, and others. JPT also supports dialing through many other VoIP services by integrating with softphones from the Gizmo Project, CounterPath, JackenIAX, LoudHush, and ohphoneX.

Universal translation dictionaries for Mac OS X released

Apimac has released new versions of its English-Italian, English-Spanish and English-German shareware translation dictionaries, bringing them to versions 9.0, 6.0 and 5.0, respectively. The Apimac Dictionaries are tools designed for students or enthusiasts interested in foreign languages. The latest versions primarily add Universal Binary support for Intel-based Macs. These releases also features user interface improvements and several bug fixes. The translation dictionaries are priced at US$24.95 each.
