Portago iPod video case announced

Tursiogear today unveiled Portago at Macworld Expo. The Portago case allows the fifth-generation iPod to connect with a broad range of output devices, freeing the player’s video, photo and music content to be shared with others. Portago’s included infrared remote controls the player remotely, and stores right in the case. Portago also contains a built-in power adapter to connect the case to an electrical outlet, allowing the player to be recharged without the need for a computer.

QuarkXPress 7.1 offers performance enhancements, more

Quark has posted QuarkXPress 7.1, the latest update to the company’s page layout and design software. Changes in version 7.1 include: specific performance enhancements; fixes related to scrolling and text selection; cosmetic changes related to control placement; and the resolution of several recently discovered issues (see resolved issues documentation). QuarkXPress 7.x requires Mac OS X 10.4 or later.

Ovolab announces Geophoto

Ovolab today announced Geophoto, a new product for browsing and sharing digital photos. Geophoto displays pictures on the Earth, in the location where the photo was taken. The user can rotate, zoom and fly through the photos, on top of a photorealistic three-dimensional Earth. Users can easily drag their pictures to a specific location on the globe in order to “geotag” it, i.e. to add location information to the image file.
