Lionsgate movies now on iTunes

Lionsgate and Apple today announced that movies from Lionsgate will be available for purchase and download on the iTunes Store starting today. iTunes customers will be able to purchase films such as “Terminator 2,” “LA Story,” “Basic Instinct,” “The Blair Witch Project,” “Dirty Dancing” and more than 150 titles coming to iTunes this month. “We’re delighted to offer these incredibly popular Lionsgate films on iTunes, and look forward to adding even more films in the future,” said Steve Beeks, president of Lionsgate.

Citigroup upgrades Apple to ‘buy’

Citigroup analyst Richard Gardner has upgraded Apple to buy from hold, reports MarketWatch, citing several “meaningful product catalysts and expectations of significant gross market upside due to declines in flash memory and DRAM pricing.” Apple’s 12-month price target remains at US$105. “The stock was last up 1.7% at $84.70 in pre-open trading.
