Report: Mac users more likely to generate Web content

An article in Ars Technica notes that, according to a report from market research firm Forrester, Mac users are “significantly” more likely to generate content for the Web than Dell users. “According to the report, Mac users are significantly more likely than Dell users to fall into the ‘Creators’ category — those who publish blogs, Web pages, upload videos, and so on — with nearly twice as many Mac users (a bit over 20 percent) being ‘Creators’ than Dell users,” notes the story.

Digieffects acquired by industry veteran

Digieffects, a developer of popular software plug-ins for Adobe After Effects and Apple Final Cut Pro, has agreed to be acquired by Robert Sharp, a veteran of the digital media industry. Robert, formerly of Terran Interactive and Canopus, has agreed to acquire Digieffects and take over management of the company immediately. Over the next few months, Digieffects will focus on working with users to update products in the short-term as well as define a long-term product roadmap.
