Sofa Control 2.1 adds application support

CASE Apps today released Sofa Control 2.1, which gives users the ability to control their applications with the Apple Remote Control. Out of the box Sofa Control supports a large number of popular applications like VLC, Safari, PowerPoint and more. Version 2.1 adds support for a number of new applications, and includes bug fixes and stability and performance improvements. Sofa Control requires Mac OS X 10.4 or later and a Mac that ships with the Apple Remote Control. Sofa Control is priced at US$14.90.

Photoshop World offers new Adobe CS3 sessions

The National Association of Photoshop Professionals (NAPP) today announced that its annual West Coast Photoshop World Conference & Expo, held at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas from September 6 thru 8, 2007, will feature new sessions focusing on Adobe Photoshop CS3 Extended, Adobe Photoshop Lightroom, Adobe Web tools, motion graphics, scripting for Photoshop CS3, and more. An “Early Bird” discount of US$100 off the price of registration is available until Friday, August 3.
