PhotoWorks today announced that it has added Picnik’s Web- based photo editing tools to the features available on PhotoWorks.com. These tools make it easy for people to crop or rotate their images, fix red-eye, adjust brightness and contrast, and apply additional special effects. Some of the special effects features include the ability to apply include borders, shapes, sepia, black and white, vignette, color boost or soften, and matte effects.

Movie screen capture utility fgrab released

Times for Fun today announced the release of fgrab 1.0, a new screen movie capture utility. Users can capture everything on their screen then post-process the screen movie clips with FastCut, create screen-casts, tutorials, and more. The .fvf clips can be played back immediately or added to FastCut movie projects for further processing. It is bundled with FastCut 3 RT, a real-time video editor from the same developer. Currently fgrab is not sold separately, but it part of the FastCut + fgrab bundle.

Mariner Software releases Montage 1.3 beta

Mariner Software today released the beta version of Montage 1.3, its Mac-specific screenwriting software.
