The Weather Channel Interactive (TWCI) today announced the launch of a completely optimized weather application for the iPhone and iPod touch. The new application requires no download and leverages Apple’s innovative touch screen technology to deliver current conditions, hourly and 10-day forecasts, and maps in a fully interactive environment where functionality like sliding pages and “fade ins” make the user experience fun and unique. The application is available to iPhone and iPod touch users via the Safari browser, and along with 200 other leading solutions, can also be accessed via Apple’s new Web Application site.
