Microsoft today issued the following statement regarding its Macintosh Business Unit: “As Microsoft’s Macintosh Business Unit (Mac BU) prepares to launch Office 2008 for Mac in the second half of this year, it has some exciting news to share with the appointment of Craig Eisler as general manager. Craig replaces Roz Ho, who after seven successful years of leadership in the Mac BU transitioned to a new role within Robbie Bach’s Entertainment & Devices Division. In a statement shared by Tom Gibbons, corporate vice president, he welcomed Craig, commenting that, “with Craig’s deep background in technology and product development, his demonstrated business leadership, and his respect for Apple, I have every confidence that he will continue to drive a productive relationship with Apple and carry on the Macintosh Business Unit’s tradition of delivering outstanding native Mac productivity software.”
