BeatHive.com has released the “Best of BeatHive, Volume 1” loop collection. The DVD-ROM contains over 1,200 of the highest-rated Apple Loops uploaded to the Web site. The collection is designed to boost the creative arsenal of any music producer, composer or songwriter. It is available for US$99. Eleven producers have loops in the collection and present a variety of genres and instruments. There are hip hop construction kits, world beat kits, break beats, electronica synths and drums, acoustic guitars, percussion, rock drums, experimental sounds, and even pedal steel. All loops come in Apple Loop AIFF formats for use in a variety of music production programs like GarageBand and Logic.
