OWC Booth Draws Record Crowd with Axiotron ModBook, the One and Only Mac Tablet

Other World Computing and Axiotron, Inc. debut first ever Mac Tablet solution

San Francisco (January 10, 2007) – Following Steve Jobs’ announcement
of the AppleTV and iPhone from the Macworld Conference and Expo in
San Francisco January 9, Other World Computing and strategic-partner
Axiotron drew a record-setting crowd at the OWC booth for the public
unveiling of the ModBook, the first ever Mac OS X tablet computer
solution.

“Macworld is known for being the stage for the very best Mac
technology advances. Other World Computing is excited by the response
to our Axiotron ModBook announcement and unveiling at the show,” said
Larry O’Connor, CEO of Other World Computing. “The long awaited
Tablet Mac solution is here – and exclusively from Other World
Computing.”

The Axiotron ModBook is an after-market hardware modification
solution of the Apple MacBook notebook computer, adding true pen
input, a new 13.3″ wide screen LCD and an optional Global Positioning
System in a tough, satin-finish, chrome-plated magnesium top shell,
while keeping all the powerful features of the MacBook base system.
With the award winning Mac OS X and its built-in Inkwell handwriting
recognition, up to 2GHz fast Intel Core 2 Duo processors, the
integrated iSight camera and the CD/DVD combo drive, the slate-style
Axiotron ModBook is the ultimate companion for applications and
situations where a keyboard only gets in the way.

The public unveiling of the ModBook drew a crowd of hundreds
completely encircling the Other World Computing display booth. It is
believed to be the largest Macworld exhibitor draw for a non Apple,
Inc. announcement.

The Axiotron ModBook is immediately available for pre-orders in the
US and Canada through an exclusive strategic-partnership arrangement
between Axiotron and Other World Computing – all through
www.macsales.com/modbook.

The Axiotron ModBook features WACOM Penabled hardware for true pen
input and is fully compatible with Apple’s Inkwell, a Mac OS X Tiger
feature that provides system level handwriting and gesture
recognition to all Mac applications. Drawing and writing directly on
the screen provides for a uniquely intuitive user experience and its
slim, slate-style form factor makes the ModBook the ultimate
companion for mobile users, artists, professionals, and students.

The ModBook is also the only portable Mac solution that features an
optional built-in Global Positioning System (GPS). The Axiotron
ModBook GPS Module was developed in cooperation with GlobalSat
Technologies Corporation utilizing the industry leading SiRFstar III
chipset for shorter first location fix times and improved tracking
capabilities.

Axiotron engineers and OWC product specialists will be displaying the
Axiotron ModBook for hands-on trials at the Other World Computing
booth #S2218 throughout the Macworld Conference & Expo. During
Macworld and until January 31st, Other World Computing is offering
the complete ModBook base configuration plus the built-in Axiotron
GPS Module at a Special Introductory Pre-Reserve Price of $2,199.
