Research: Black iPod nanos dominate eBay

Terapeak has announced it has analyzed the sales of both the white and sleek black iPod nanos on eBay for the month of December using price filters of US$100 and $500. “For the 4GB version of the nano over 70% of sales were for black nanos,” notes the research. “The peak selling times were between 5-8pm (PST), with 8pm being the most successful accounting for an average of over $160,000 worth of sales per hour.

Stone Design ships Pac the Man Editor 1.0

Stone Design today announced the availability of Pac the Man Editor, a free application to create and edit new game levels for McSebi’s and free Pac the Man video game for Mac OS X. “Pac the Man Editor ships as part of the new Pac the Man X game — simply choose “Launch level editor” from Pac the Man’s X’s Game Menu. Users of Pac the Man 2 can also just download the editor to use it independently.

ezGear introduces ezGold Video Cable for iPod

ezGear has announced the introduction of the ezGold Video Cable for video iPods. “The ezGold Video is the easiest way to share your iPod videos and photos with friends and family, allowing your Video iPod to perform like a VCR, DVD player, or DVR,” notes the company. The ezGold Video Cable for iPod will be available in January 2006, and pricing has yet to be announced.

O’Reilly podcasts debut

O’Reilly Media today announced the debut of it’s O’Reilly Podcast programming with “Distributing the Future” and “Make Audio and Video” podcast shows, FOO Casts (Friends of O’Reilly Podcasting), “In our Ears” highlights, “Pick of the Week” and more. In order to promote its new podcast programming, O’Reilly will be giving away a 30GB iPod Video at Macworld Expo. Attendees can sign up to win at O’Reilly’s booth #1017. The winner will be announced on O’Reilly’s podcasts page on January 16, 2006.
