Apple shares hit all-time high

Apple shares today hit a record high on the news of the company’s decision to switch to Intel microprocessors, as well as Apple’s better-than expected revenues for the December quarter and impressive iPod and iTunes sales, reports the Associated Press. Apple shares jumped US$3.04, or 3.8 percent, to close at a split-adjusted record high of $83.90 on Wednesday.

GarageSale 2 eBay client released

GarageSale 2.0 from iwascoding Software is the latest version of the application for easily creating eBay auctions. GarageSale 2 is one of the first certified clients to use eBay’s new ‘Unified XML’ interface, allowing the utility to access the eBay system after June 2006, when current interface will be shut down. With version 2, users can revise auctions from within the GarageSale instead of going through eBay’s Web page. Google Earth for Mac OS X available

Google Earth has now been officially released for Mac OS X, as noted by MacUpdate. Google Earth 3.1.0527.0 “puts a planet’s worth of imagery and other geographic information right on your desktop. View exotic locales like Maui and Paris as well as points of interest such as local restaurants, hospitals, schools, and more.” The software combines satellite imagery, maps and Google Search to make this happen. Google Earth is free and requires Mac OS X 10.4 or later.
