New browsers, cookie shredding added to NetShred X
Mireth Technology has released NetShred X 3.17, the latest version of its Internet track eraser that erases cache, history and email trash. Version 3.17 adds support for the latest versions of several browsers, and cookie shredding. Changes include: support for Opera 8, Opera 9, Camino 1 and Shiira; support for a new Mail Program — Thunderbird 1; and the addition of support for cookie shredding. According to a report on Bloomberg, Apple and Creative have said in court papers that they “remain open to the possibility” of reaching an agreement in their litigation battle over their digital music players via a settlement. “Apple, whose iPod music player controls about 77 percent of the U.S. market for such devices, and Singapore-based Creative are suing each other in California, Texas and Wisconsin,” notes the story.
