Veenix Font Tools 6 adds document font activation

Veenix Software today announced the release of Font Tools 6.0, a set of Mac OS X tools for previewing, cataloging/printing and managing fonts. The new release adds the Document Font Activator and Exporter tool, which allows users to scan documents for font usage and then quickly activate all the necessary document fonts as well as export them for project archiving or final output. Supported file types include native Adobe Illustrator, PhotoShop and InDesign files, as well as generic pdf, tif and eps files.

Parallels Desktop adds support for Mac Pro, Leopard

Parallels today announced that it is making available the Update Release Candidate (RC) for Parallels Desktop for Mac, the first solution that enables users to run Windows and other operating systems at the same time as Mac OS X on any Intel-based Mac, without re-booting. The update RC, which is free for all Parallels Desktop users, adds support the recently released quad-processor Mac Pro towers outfitted with up to 3.5GB of RAM.
