TheCodingMonkeys today released SubEthaEdit 2.5.1, a significant update to its award-winning collaborative text editor for developers, Web designers, schools and small businesses. This update includes some new features and a lot of improvements regarding editing and language modes. SubEthaEdit 2.5.1 is also a maintenance release to fix reported issues and provides minor refinements like automatic updating and crash reporting. Some of the key new features include: a new “Encoding Doctor” helps with conversion between encodings and identifying problematic characters; soft-wrapped lines can be displayed with indentation; and a page guide helps with layout of fixed-width text. Licenses for SubEthaEdit are available for US$35, and a 30-day demo is available.
