Epson today began shipping two new inkjet printers, the Stylus C60 and Stylus C80. Priced at US$99, the C60 features at 2,880×720 dpi print resolution and can print at speeds of up to 12 pages per minute (ppm) for black text and 8 ppm for color. The C60 can also produce an 8″x10″ photo at under four minutes and includes a $20 mail-in rebate. The C80 is Epson’s new flagship printer, boasting print speeds of up to 20 ppm for black text and 10 ppm for color. The C80 is Epson’s first printer to feature its DuraBrite ink technology, which resists moisture and fading. The C80 sells for $179; a $30 mail-in rebate is included. Also available will be the C80WN ($449 before $50 mail-in rebate) which features 802.11b wireless network support, and the C80N ($349) which features a 10/100 Base-T ethernet port. The C80WN will ship later this month while the C80N will ship in November.
