Gideon Softworks today announced the availability of Snippet Monkey 1.0b2, the latest release of its utility to allow users to create shortcuts for phrases frequently typed. Changes in version 1.0b2 include: added support for embedding snippets in snippets — to use place text like this in snippet {shortcut}; Snippets are now shown in the status menu; works with TextMate.app; changed Snippet Manager window title to Manage Snippets; changed “Preferences…” to “Manage Snippets…”; and several other changes and bug fixes. Snippet Monkey is priced at US$10 during the public beta, and requires Mac OS X 10.4 or later.
