FirmTek today announced it is now shipping their SeriTek/2SE2-E PCI Express adapter with two external eSATA ports. Announced at NAB, this solution provides a high-performance SATA adapter that delivers the benefits of a modern bus architecture with “SATA II” transfer rates as high as 3GB per second for two external drives. The company says this is the first two-port solution to arrive for the advanced technology in the Dual-Core and Quad-Core G5s that provides plug-and-play functionality which works without having to install separate drivers. The SeriTek/2SE2-E adapter carries estimated retail pricing of US$99.95.
