Big Nerd Ranch today announced Perl Bootcamp with brian d foy July 10-14, 2006. “While plenty of training manuals are available for learning Perl, the Big Nerd Ranch has condensed the learning process into a single week of complete immersion in Perl programming,” notes the announcement. “Students should expect to work hard and return to the world as Perl programmers.” Perl Bootcamp is a five-day intensive course exploring the underlying structures and advanced features of the Perl programming language. By completion of the course, students will emerge with the ability to write sophisticated Perl applications, use regular expressions to manipulate text data, integrate modules from the CPAN, and access databases with DBI.
