LATEST DISCLABEL UPDATE ENHANCES SUPPORT FOR DIRECT-TO-DISC PRINTERS

New Feature Takes The Mess Out Of Printing Directly On CDs and DVDs

San Francisco, CA – March 9, 2006 – SmileOnMyMac has updated disclabel, the
award-winning software for designing labels and packaging for CDs and DVDs,
to further enhance direct-to-disc printing.

“We found that printable disc manufacturers do not have a standard for how
much of the surface would be printable,” said Greg Scown, co-founder of
SmileOnMyMac. He noted that some discs have a printable surface that goes
all the way to the edge, while others don’t. “Users would end up printing
on the non-printable surface at the edge, leaving wet ink that can be very
messy. Direct-to-disc printing is becoming very popular, so this was an
important enhancement for us to make.”
