37 Signals have announced that Basecamp, Web-based project management tool with Apple iCal and RSS support, has been updated to include SFTP file sharing, SSL encryption on Plus and Premium plans, time zone support on both global and client-specific levels, and more. Basecamp is optimized for Safari and Firefox Web browsers, and was developed using Ruby and MySQL on a Mac. A free trial is available, and plans start at US$12 per month.

This week, Beehive Software has released their version 4.0 BeeMail
extension, for Macintosh (and Windows), which now allows ANY email
user to securely send file attachments of ANY size, transparently
along with their email message.
Media Rage 1.6 from Chaotic Software is the latest version of the company’s collection of tools for Mac OS X audio enthusiasts. Media Rage can easily edit information stored in MP3, AAC, and Ogg Vorbis audio files. It can also assist in cataloging, organizing, sorting, and updating audio files. Version 1.6 adds an internet Artwork Search tool and a file Inspector panel to the Media Scrubber list window. In addition, All artwork views in Media Rage are now draggable from one to another or to other apps (such as iTunes).
