Jobs unveils the new Mac mini

Apple today introduced the much-rumored Mac mini, a new system the company calls “the most affordable and compact Mac ever.” Starting at US$499, the Mac mini comes with either a 1.25 GHz or 1.42 GHz G4 processor and ATI Radeon 9200 graphics with 32MB of dedicated DDR memory. Apple introduces iPod shuffle

Apple today unveiled the much-rumored iPod shuffle, a new compact digital audio player based on the iPod’s shuffle feature, which randomly selects songs from the user’s music library or playlists. As widely expected, the new iPod model is built with flash memory. It comes in sizes of 512MB (120 songs) for $99 and 1GB (240 songs) for $149.
