FileMaker Server updates to fix stability issues

FileMaker plans to release a v3 updater for both FileMaker Server 7 and FileMaker Server 7 Advanced in early March 2005. The company said that the v3 updater will fix the known stability issues with FileMaker Server, which a small number of customers have reported. “All known cases occurred with complex and/or large applications, under heavy load (>50 concurrent clients). FileMaker does not believe these stability issues will affect the majority of our customer base,” the company said in a statement.

Readers begin receiving iWork ’05, iLife ’05

Several MacMinute readers are reporting that they have received their orders from Apple for iWork ’05 and iLife ’05 ahead of Saturday’s official launch. iWork ’05 includes Pages, a new word processor/document publisher, and Keynote 2. iLife ’05 bundles iPhoto 5, iMovie HD, iDVD 5, GarageBand 2 and iTunes 4.7. Both will be available at Apple Stores this Saturday for US$79. Earlier today, we noted that readers have begun to receive Mac mini orders.
