Pixar reports record results for 2004

Pixar, the animation studio headed by Apple CEO Steve Jobs, today reported financial results for its fourth quarter and fiscal year ended January 1, 2005. For the year, Pixar earned US$141.7 million, or $2.38 per share, on revenues of $273.5 million. For the quarter, the company earned $55.2 million, or 91 cents per share, on revenues of $108.9 million.

Michael Tsai has released SpamSieve 2.2.4, an update to his Bayesian spam filtering utility for popular e-mail clients such as Apple Mail, Mailsmith, Entourage, PowerMail, and Eudora 6. This update includes: increased message processing speed; improved accuracy through better HTML and header processing; colors to indicate “spamminess” in Apple Mail are now enabled by default; the option to play sounds (and bounce the Dock icon) when mail arrives; and more standard blocklist rules for non-Latin character sets.
