Michael Tsai has released SpamSieve 2.2.4, an update to his Bayesian spam filtering utility for popular e-mail clients such as Apple Mail, Mailsmith, Entourage, PowerMail, and Eudora 6. This update includes: increased message processing speed; improved accuracy through better HTML and header processing; colors to indicate “spamminess” in Apple Mail are now enabled by default; the option to play sounds (and bounce the Dock icon) when mail arrives; and more standard blocklist rules for non-Latin character sets. SpamSieve sells for US$25.
