‘Apple Cultists’ and two Joy of Tech Dashboard Widgets

‘X Marks the Spot’ iPod photography contest announced

Mediafour and iPodlounge today announced a joint photography contest for iPod users. The “X Marks the Spot” photo contest will run for four weeks, and invites iPod fans to submit creative photographs of their iPods at each week’s themed location. The first theme will be announced today at iPodlounge. Each theme will be open for submissions for one week, and a winner will be selected from each week’s entries.

The Sims 2 for Mac goes ‘gold’

Aspyr today announced that The Sims 2 has been declared gold for Mac and will soon begin shipping. Look for an announcement next week with more information on when the game will ship, and an exact date of when the title will arrive on store shelves. The Sims 2 was developed for the Mac by Aspyr Studios, Aspyr’s internal development team, under license from Electronic Arts.
