Runtime Revolution today announced the release of Revolution 2.6 for Mac OS X Tiger, an upgrade to its multi-platform development tool. With Revolution developers can write software once and deliver quickly and easily without modification on every major platform. This release of Revolution delivers seamless integration with Tiger including support for Spotlight and Core Image. Westlake co-founders Join MacSoft

Destineer’s MacSoft unit today announced that Westlake Interactive President Phil Sulak and co-founder Ken Cobb have joined Destineer in senior engineering roles. As president of Westlake, Sulak helped code many of the Macintosh platform’s biggest titles, including Halo: Combat Evolved, The Sims, Rise of Nations, Dungeon Siege, and Total Annihilation. As one of the co-founders of Westlake, Cobb has worked on many games for the Mac, including Unreal, Tomb Raider, Halo: Combat Evolved and Rise of Nations.
